• The Daily Journal is published Monday through Friday afternoons and Sunday morning.
The weekday circulation is 28,000. The Sunday circulation is 33,500. The Daily Journal
provides coverage of Kankakee, Will, Iroquois, Ford, Livingston and Grundy counties in
Illinois and Newton County in Indiana.
• The Journal has won numerous awards for printing quality, advertising
and editorial coverage.
• The Daily Journal has bureaus in Washington, D.C.; the state capital in Springfield;
Peotone; Watseka; and Bourbonnais; in addition to the Kankakee office.
Monday: Special seniority pages run on the first and third Mondays, with news devoted
to senior citizens. Keepsake, a tabloid with area wedding and engagement announcements,
runs on the second and fourth Mondays.
Tuesday: KidStuff brings news of interest for young people, including the Mini-Page,
Tell Me a Story and Job Center. The Job Center page was recognized by the State of Illinois
as one of the top three services to youth in the state.
Wednesday: Accent on Food, including Readers Recipe Exchange and a Weekly Menu Planner.
Thursday: Faith and Religion covers area churches and beliefs.
Friday: The Outdoors page brings you the latest information on hunting, fishing,
hiking and camping in the area and throughout the Midwest.
Every Day: The Business Page lists any stock of local interest, free for
our subscribers. The AccuWeather Forecast brings you full color weather for
a week at a glance. Sports covers every varsity high school result in the area.
Life brings you features for living, your home and your family. and Region covers
regional and agricultural news.
